ABOUT MEHello All! I am Carmella Turturro
I am the creator and owner of Desert Songbirds Speech Services. I am a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) located here in Nevada, servicing clients in the Henderson and Las Vegas areas. I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with primarily early childhood and school-aged children (i.e. three years to 16 years old) for the past 10 years. I am passionate about providing fun and functional services that make a meaningful difference in the lives of growing minds with a focus on parent and family involvement. Consultation
Free introductory phone consultation to discuss your speech/language concerns, respond to questions, & determine if evaluation is right for your child.

Evaluation
Comprehensive assessment to determine speech/language strengths and weaknesses. This will help us get to know your child and specify areas of need to make a plan for therapy. Evaluation periods may span approximately 1 hour.

Recommendations
On the day of your child’s evaluation (or shortly after via phone), your Speech Pathologist will review the evaluation results, recommendations, & schedule following intervention sessions with you as appropriate.

Treatment
Therapy sessions are also completed in the comfort of your home, 1:1 for thirty minutes typically.
We prioritize YOUR child with an individualized approach, providing intervention that is FUNCTIONAL and FUN!
Currently, we are a private-pay, home-based provider; we come to YOU!
We offer hands-on parent-training with your child’s speech and language goals in mind.
